Indie Hops Strata® CGX® pellets 2025

We're proud to have partnered with Indie Hops and Loughran Brewers Select to bring world class hops to homebrewers in the UK.

These hops are used by the likes of Verdant, Deya, Sierra Nevada and Russian River breweries.

They are aren't available anywhere else in the UK in homebrew quantities.

Available in CGX™ Cryogenic Lupulin Pellets with twice the potency of T-90 pellets.

With roughly half of the hop cone removed, some of the natural hop cone character is lost, however a concentration of hop oils results allowing more intense flavour expression and increased beer yields. 

Indie Hops currently recommends 15-25% of T90 Pellet replaced by half that amount by weight of CGX™. Although many brewers will often add up to 50%.

Available in 25g and 50g packs - we recommend using all the CGX pellets in a short amount of time (ideally in 1 beer). Due to their high content of oils and volatiles they will lose freshness and potency quickly when not packaged cold and in a nitrogen atmosphere.

Strata®'s hypnotic aroma and flavours has broken new ground in the craft beer world, and the full depth of Strata®'s hop character that T90 Strata pellets introduced is now complemented by the Strata® CGX™ concentrated cryogenic lupulin pellet option. CGX™ pellets have roughly twice the concentration of hop resins compared to T90 pellets, resulting in reduced vegetative matter and improved efficiency.

However, because certain desirable hop oil components are removed and others amplified in the CGX™ pellet, the flavour and aroma contributions from Strata® CGX™ differ from that of Strata® T90. When using Strata® CGX™, it's crucial to use a foundation of Strata® T90 Pellets to maintain the full flavour spectrum. Optimum ratios will vary, but in aggressively hopped beers, Indie Hops currently recommends 15-25% of T90 Pellet replaced by half that amount by weight of CGX™.
